We used WMI scripts to perform the same on a number of remote servers in a batch when we had a DNS server die and wanted to change one of the IP addresses used on many servers. We rebuilt a new server with the same IP, but as this took time, we had an immediate requirement to change them until the new server was available.
We have also made changes with powershell previously similar to this:
If DTC had the options to set the DNS settings in the same way you configure the normal network settings, to set IP, DNS to manual or automatic and specify the field data, and set DNS suffixes, etc that would be great.
