We have started working on this scenario and please find the show case how its going to be done.
If a patch configuration is deployed to a machine with 10 missing patches,
Stage 1: It shows as "Ready To Execute" after the completing of configuration creation.
Stage 2: Once the agent start picking the task the status moves to "In progress"
Stage 3: After the successful completion of patches the status moves to "Executed".
So the interim status update would be published on the UI for better clarity for customer reference.
However this process is in progress now and it shall be released in our future hotfix.
