WAN Agent and Server Communication

Hello,

We have a scenario where we have Desktop Central and a Distribution Server installed.  We have sites where the agent won't be able to communicate directly with the main server but have no problems communicating through the Distribution Server.  Will this configuration work?

IE:
WAN Agent ----> Distribution Server (Works)
WAN Agent ----> Main Server (No routing)
