From your issue description, I could see that you have created a dynamic custom group with a criteria (software name) however you are searching with in custom groups.
You could find two options such custom group and dynamic custom groups. You have created a dynamic custom group which can be shown only if you choose "Dynamic Groups" from the drop down menu.
Please try the same and check for the group name.
