We are running DesktopCentral Build 80339 on Windows Server 2008 R2 64-bit.
Since updating from Build 80332 to Build 80339, all Configurations no longer work. All Software Deployment packages were manually created without using a template.
All configurations are packaged as follows:
- - Configuration Name
- - Installer type
- - EXE or MSI Package Name
- - Operation type
- - Scheduler Settings: Install after: Time / Date
- - Deployment Settings
- - Define Target
- - Execution Settings
Prior to this update, all configurations worked successfully. After applying Build 80339, when I click on Deploy, Deploy Immediately or Save as Draft, absolutely nothing happens. But when I click on Cancel, this works as intended: it actually cancels.
Thinking that this behaviour was linked to the DC Default Policy which is listed as Created by DC-System-User, I created a new policy with the following settings:
- - Policy Name
- - Initiate Deployment at: “Either of these whichever happens first”
- - Deployment Schedule: Any day
- - Deployment window: 0200 – 2300
- - Did not select “Download Binaries during Subsequent Refresh Cycle”
- - Did not select “Notify Users about Deployment”
- - Reboot Policy: Do not reboot
After saving, I set this as the default deployment policy and applied to configurations. The result is the same: after clicking on Deploy, Deploy immediately or Save as Draft, nothing happens. Only Cancel works.
I manually created a new Software Deployment Package and then created a new Configuration. I get the same result.
I suspect this was caused by: “Deployment Templates” are now enhanced as Deployment Policies.
I can replroduce this behaviour in Firefox 27.
How do I fix this?
