The scenario is what happens when you add the AD group as a target to a configuration and add computers to the AD group, after the configuration has come to executed state. It would still apply the configuration to the new computers in the Group and change the status accordingly.
You need to check the setting for this under Admin tab -> Configuration settings -> Configuration settings -> Auto-detect OU/Group Changes and Apply Configuration.
