If you are referring on Software Deployment to deploy an application and then run a script, we have a post deployment activities to run a custom script when adding the package.
When creating the package, you can use the post deployment activities to add the script and deploy it. This will deploy the application and will also run the script.
You can add the package from Software Deployment>>>packages>>>Add packages
Please try the above and check if it works.
