File Copy user variables

We're trying to setup a job to copy Microsoft office template files to C:/Users/userid/appdata/roaming/Microsoft/tempates and other similar folders. The default variable of "$userappdata" appears to go to Documents and Settings. With Windows 7 (and later) this doesn't work since the path is to "Users". I'm assuming this is the issue since the file copy isn't working.

Is this a compatibility issue or is there a different variable or is there another way of doing this?
